About Us

Adaptive Performance Systems was born out of a shared vision among people who are passionate about maximizing the strength, health, function and performance of amputees – for a superior return to mobility and overall physical wellness. From beginners in a new prosthesis learning to move again for the first time to elite Paralympic athletes, our mission is to make amputees and adaptive athletes strong, fit and complete. We were tired of amputees having limited access to the right methods and means to get back to their highest levels of physical and athletic abilities. So, we came together as a team to create the only physical training programs in the world exclusively for amputees and adaptive athletes. We launched Adaptive Performance Systems in 2014 after 3 years of personal coaching experience with adaptive athletes. By combining our expertise in mobility, structural balance training, and classic strength & conditioning, we developed our one-of-a-kind training programs that first emphasize mastery of basic fundamental movement. Once basic fundamental movements are remastered, we progress to more challenging movements and workouts and, ultimately, train to the highest level of athletic performance. Today, we offer both one-on-one and self-guided training programs for the adaptive community. Whether you’re an amputee who just wants to lose weight and don’t know where to start or a Paralympian longing for a Gold medal, we offer the necessary platform of structure, accountability and empowerment so that you can progress towards your goals and reclaim your sense of wholeness.
